Goat Family Puzzle for Kids — 30 Pieces, Daisy and Her Four Kids | Blue Dragon Hollow Farm
A sweet, sturdy 30-piece puzzle built for little hands. The finished picture is a
sunlit Texas meadow full of bluebonnets, with a mother goat and all four of her
kids standing in it, looking directly at you.
Daisy is a real Nigerian Dwarf doe at Blue Dragon Hollow in Blum, Texas, and these
are her four kids: Thelma, Louise, Willie, and Hank. Goats almost never have
quadruplets. Daisy had them anyway, without discussing it with anyone, and raised
every single one. The picture on this puzzle is the cover of her book, Daisy and
Her Four Kids.
The pieces are thick laminated chipboard with rounded corners — big enough for
toddlers and preschoolers to pick up and place without frustration, and tough
enough to survive being sat on, stepped on, and enthusiastically reassembled. The
printing is bright and holds its color through a great many afternoons.
Thirty pieces, five goats. Good for the playroom floor, a quiet corner and some
independent focus, or family storytime — and good for counting, since there is
always one child who wants to know which goat is which and exactly how many there
are. (Four kids. Louise is the smallest.)
